Hey, my name is Corey, and I like to make things. I started making softies during my last semester at college.
I just graduated from RIT (the Rochester Institute of Technology) with a degree in Fine Art Photography. I don't have a job, and because of my enormous amount of free time, I have now become obsessed with toy-making. Before, it was something I really liked. Now, it's kind of this OCD-like thing. Chances are, if I'm not out with the friends, I am making a pig, or a cat for my sister, or a green rabbit, or a monkey. Well, those are the things I've made so far, and I've been home for about a week.
There are still boxes waiting to be unpacked in our garage. It's kind of sad.
Oh well.
Tomorrow I'm driving back to NY for some boyfriend visiting and art show fabulosity. I'm a part of what was originally the 6x6x2008 show, but is now the 6x6x3200 plus show. I have six photographs in the show, which is pretty exciting for me. If you happen to read this (which would be pretty shocking) it's at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center, and hey, check it out! Pfahl even has some work in it.
Eventually, I'll put up some pictures of my animals and all the people I made for my photo project.
Oh, and I picked robots and dinosaurs because I am a big fan of both of those things.
Cheers!
